Happy plants, happy fish!

Five ambitious upper school students designed and constructed an aquaponic garden (a method of growing fish and crops together in a re-circulating system) as their final project-based learning experience. Bacteria converts fish waste into nutrients for the plants. Waste water is pumped up to the plants. The plants purify the water, which goes back to the tank. What a wonderful addition to our greenhouse!
